NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday introduced its chief minister’s face for the 2022 Uttarakhand assembly elections.
Delhi chief minister and AAP’s nationwide convener Arvind Kejriwal stated Colonel Ajay Kothiyal (retired) would be the celebration chief minister’s candidate for the forthcoming assembly elections.

The elections are scheduled to happen within the first quarter of subsequent yr.

“If voted to power, we will make Uttarakhand global spiritual capital for Hindus, generate employment opportunities for youth. We will develop the Devbhoomi in a manner that 10 times more devotees can come here,” stated Kejriwal.
“When the leaders of the state were looting Devbhoomi, Kothiyal was protecting the country on the border. The people of Uttarakhand need such a patriot who, without caring for his life, will serve them,” he added.
An Indian Army veteran and former principal of Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) at Uttarkashi, Colonel Kothiyal had joined the AAP, this yr, on April 20.
