SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — A California choose declared a mistrial Tuesday within the embezzlement trial of legal professional Michael Avenatti, who’s charged with stealing thousands and thousands in settlement cash from his purchasers.
U.S. District Judge James V. Selna dominated on technical grounds that federal prosecutors failed to show over related monetary proof to Avenatti.
Another listening to within the case was set for Sept. 2, and Selna scheduled a tentative new trial date for Oct. 12.
